The Week 2 Sunday night showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens was supposed to be a possible postseason preview. But with the Ravens ravaged by injuries and playing on a short week following a Monday night overtime loss in Las Vegas, bookmakers don’t like the home team’s chances.
The NFL betting odds have the Ravens installed as 3.5-point home underdogs, taking on a Chiefs team that handed them a 34-20 beat down inside M&T Bank Stadium last September.

The Carolina Panthers come out of their bye week looking very different than the team we watched two weeks ago, with offensive coordinator Joe Brady fired this past weekend and star RB Christian McCaffrey done for the season (ankle).
The Panthers have lost two straight and three of their last four and welcome the Atlanta Falcons to Bank of America Stadium in Week 14. Atlanta isn’t in much better shape than their NFC South rivals, with a similar 1-3 SU mark in its last four outings.

Finding values in NFL odds and look-ahead lines gets trickier each week, as sportsbooks get more information and a better understanding of what each team is made out of.
But… thankfully there are injuries, which always act as an equalizer to throw a curveball into getting that precision handicap.
They’re also a foreshadowing of where I’m leaning with my early jump on the look-ahead Week 8 odds, as there’s one spread that doesn’t quite sit right… and I think an injury is why.

With the nation and many more Taylor Swift-related incremental eyes on them last week, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs managed to just barely squeak out a 23-20 win over the struggling Jets. It was yet another subpar performance from Mahomes, completing just 18-of-30 passes for just 203 yards while tossing two interceptions and only adding one passing touchdown to his box score.

It was a move that divided opinion. When news broke in the summer of 1983 that Division One matches would be shown live on BBC and ITV, there was more anxiety than expectation. The £5.2m deal gave the channels five league matches each, although the BBC only covered four due to a technicians’ strike.
